Are you looking for a book to really get your blood pumping? Vampires, werewolves and all things supernatural have taken center stage lately, and here at Mr. Paperback we are right on board! We have a great selection of titles, and you’re sure to find something you’ll love! Of course, we have the first three books of the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers—but don’t worry, Breaking Dawn is due out in paperback on August 3rd! If you’ve already devoured those books and are looking for more, we have plenty of choices! Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse series is a constant bestseller and crowd pleaser! You’ll find her books in our Mystery section. You might also enjoy the House of Night series, written by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast. The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod is a hilarious and original series depicting the troubles of a teenage vampire, written by Heather Brewer. We also have the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead and L.J. Smith’s Vampire Diaries series (now adapted into a television series!). Other great Young Adult titles that look good to me: Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey, Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon (a current bestseller!), Vampire Beach by Alex Duval, and How to Be a Vampire by Amy Gray. If you’re looking for something a bit more mature, we have a great selection of Romance and Science Fiction novels dealing with all things supernatural, from authors such as Kelley Armstrong, Kresley Cole, Nina Bangs and Cherry Adair. And if you want a vampire story written from a slightly different perspective, you should try Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahme-Smith(author of the popular Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies). Of course, there’s always the good old-fashioned story of Dracula if you’re looking for a good scare! You’ll find many of these books and more on our vampire-themed displayer at the front of the store. Come see what you can find to sink your teeth into!

Recommendations:
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows
The story centers around the Nazi occupation of Guernsey Island during WWII. I was a little hesitant to read this as the story is done in the form of letters written to various people by the main character. It is very well written, interesting and it flowed along extremely well. The characters are well developed and believable, with a moving story line of love and war. The storyline also evolves around the love of books and reading, sure to please any booklover. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and would highly recommend it.
On Folly Beach by Karen White
This was an interesting story about the possibility of German U-boats landing on U.S. shores during WWII. The story combines elements of mystery and intrigue as it follows a family history from 1942 through present day. It is told through two different time periods as the story weaves back and forth. Attempts are made to solve the mystery through cryptic notes left from 1942. This is another story that evolves around bookstores and the love of reading. I have read most of Karen Whites novels, and this is by far my favorite.
Homer's Odyssey: A Fearless Feline Tale, Or How I Leaned About Love And Life With a Blind Wonder Cat by Gwen Cooper
For anyone who loves stores about animals this is one of the best. The author's writing is superb! The author has the knack of writing in a way that makes you feel you are there watching the story unfold. I was able to visualize Homers expressions, moods, antics etc. Homer is an extraordinary cat. I found it fascinating what, and how much he could do despite his blindness. Exceptional tale of how animals can overcome difficulties and be wonderful loving pets. A great read.
Remember, if we do not have a title currently in stock, we can always order it. You are welcome to order any title right here on our website as well.
